Amazon Browsing History

Amazon knows that sometimes, people forget to add items to their cart or list. They might think they don’t care for an item they’re looking at… only then to decide days later that they would like to buy it. It happens often!

So, Amazon allows customers to easily survey their Browsing History. Every item in the Browsing History section is an item that you have clicked on and viewed. Even if you only clicked on the item momentarily before clicking another, this item will show up here.

Amazon also allows customers to manage their Browsing History, if they’d like!

How to Clear Your Amazon Browsing History

Amazon understands that people like to manage their own Browsing History. So, they allow customers to fully have control over this section. If you’re looking to clear your Browsing History, you can easily do this, too!

Start by heading to your Browsing History, which we’ve explained above. Once on your personal Browsing History page, you will see a “Remove all items from view” button at the top. By clicking this button, all of the items on this page will be removed.

You might have to do this a few times to really clear your entire history, as it only deletes the items that are currently in view.

If you’d like to only delete a few different items from your Browsing History, you can also do this! Underneath each item listed here, you will see a “Remove from view” button. By clicking this button underneath the item, only that item will be removed from your Browsing History.

How to Turn off the Recently Viewed Feature on Amazon

Amazon also allows you to manage your recently viewed items by turning off the Browsing History feature. To do this, first start by heading to your personal Browsing History page, which we’ve explained above.

Once there, you’ll see a “Turn Browsing History off/on” message near a toggle button. You can then click this toggle button to turn it off or on. After this, any new item that you view will not show up in your Browsing History.

If you realize you would like to turn your Browsing History feature back on, just head back to your Browsing History page and toggle that button again!
