Amazon is not only the world’s largest retailer, but it’s also the most user-friendly! When it comes to signing in, ordering, returning, or contacting the Amazon support team, usually the process is incredibly simple.
However, some Amazon users have reported that they cannot find their Amazon account number, but don’t worry; in this article, we will find out exactly how to find your account number!
Standard Amazon accounts do not have account numbers. You need to create an Amazon Web Services account in order to locate your 12-digit account number.
Then, you can log into your AWS Management Console and navigate to the My Accounts or My Security Credentials section.

Amazon certainly has account numbers, but only for those who have an Amazon Web Services account.
If you have a standard Amazon account, you will not find an Amazon account number.
You will have a Merchant Token account number if you are a seller.
It’s important to note that in order to locate your Amazon account number, you need to create an AWS (Amazon Web Services) account, so let’s first find out exactly how to do that!
Amazon offers a painless way to create an AWS account with just a few simple steps:
- Open the AWS web page.
- Navigate to Create an Account.
- Enter your Amazon account information.
- Click Continue.
- Choose Personal or Professional.
- Enter the correct information.
- Click Create Account and Continue.
- Enter your payment information.
- Follow the prompts to confirm your phone number.
That’s all there is to it! Now, you have an AWS account that you can easily sign into to access your Amazon account number.
One of the simplest ways to use Amazon is through the company’s app. While you can do almost everything with the app, it can be challenging to find your account number here.
In order to find your Amazon account number, you need to sign into the AWS (Amazon Web Services) platform first and navigate to the Management Console. This process usually cannot be accessed on the app as it only allows for a standard sign-in to Amazon itself.
Depending on your Amazon account type, you may be able to navigate to your AWS Management Console on the app itself, but it’s unlikely.
Where Do I Find My Amazon Prime Account Number?
If you are an Amazon Prime member, the account number associated with your AWS account is the same as your Amazon Prime account number.
Once again, in order to access this number, you will need to sign into your AWS account, navigate to the Management Console, and click the My Security Credentials option on the top right corner of the page, then select Account Identifiers.
The 12-digit prime account number will be listed there.
Finding the basic account information for your Amazon account is slightly easier than locating the account number, as you do not need to create an AWS account to do so.
You can find information such as your email, password, address, phone number, and payment methods on your standard Amazon sign-in page; just follow the instructions below!
- Sign into your Amazon account on the app or website.
- In the top right corner, select My Account.
- In the drop-down menu, select My Account.
All the information that you need will be listed on the page in front of you! If you are having any trouble and want specific instructions to find your Amazon account phone number and email, we have them in the following sections!
In order to view, add, or change a phone number for your Amazon account, here’s what you need to do:
- Sign into your Amazon account on your computer or smartphone or on the Amazon app.
- Navigate to the My Account section in the top right corner.
- In the drop-down menu, click the Login & Security option.
- In the Mobile Phone Number section, you will see your phone number if you have already added one.
- If you do not see your phone number, you can select Add to enter it.
- You will then be prompted to confirm your phone number.
With this phone number, you can now sign into your Amazon account with the number instead of your email, and you can also opt for text messaging alerts from Amazon for your orders!
Typically, you will use your email associated with your Amazon account to sign in; however, if you are always signed in and do not know which email you used, or if you cannot log in and need to figure out which email you have to use to sign in, there are two different ways to find out what email you used for your Amazon account.
If you are already signed into Amazon, you can find the email you used for your Amazon account under the My Account menu.
Another option is if you need to sign in and don’t know your email address, you can use your mobile number. You can find your email address again in the My Account menu if the phone number is already connected to your account.
If you do not have a mobile number connected, you will have to call Amazon support in order to obtain the email address used with your account.
If you have linked your Amazon account with a Synchrony Bank account and do not remember your account number associated with the two, Amazon is here to help.
When you go to sign in, simply select the option “forgot user ID,” and Amazon will send you an email with your account number for Synchrony Bank.
Amazon and Chase have paired up to offer Amazon Chase credit cards. These accounts have several benefits, including Amazon Rewards and travel points.
If you need to find your Amazon Chase account number, first, you must sign in on a web browser or the Chase Mobile app. Under the Manage My Account menu, you can find your account number listed.
As an Amazon seller, your account number is known as your Merchant Token Number.
Once you have signed into your account with your email and password, navigate to the Settings menu, click on the Account option, and then select Merchant Token Number about halfway down the page.
You need an Amazon Web Services account to access your Amazon account number. Log into your AWS Management Console and navigate to My Accounts or My Security Credentials to find your 12-digit Amazon account number. Your Amazon account number will be within the Amazon Identifiers section or on the screen.
