Here’s how to cancel a Walmart grocery pickup order before the cutoff time (when your order status is in “processing”).
- Enter your Walmart account on the website or app.
- Select the “Pickup.”
- The page will display your pending orders. Check “Orders by status” if you have other pending orders.
- Select “Cancel.”
- Confirm that your order has been canceled.
- The order has been canceled if it no longer appears in Walmart account.
If you don’t see the cancel button on your order, you have either exceeded the cutoff time, or your item isn’t eligible for cancellation.
You cannot cancel your order online once the processing is complete.

Canceling Your Walmart Pickup Order Before It Is Ready
Now, you may wonder what the consequences are of canceling your Walmart pickup order. Will you get all your money back?
You will get your money back in full if you cancel your Walmart pickup order before it is ready for pickup. Walmart does not charge restocking or service fees for cancellations.
The full amount will be refunded via the same payment method you completed the purchase with. The downside of canceling your order is that the funds won’t be available in your bank account right away. In fact, the refund process takes 3–10 business days.
Be sure to wait for an email from Walmart confirming that they have canceled your order after clicking “Request Cancellation.” Otherwise, you cannot be certain that the order has actually been canceled.

This results in you having to wait up to 17+ days to get your refund if you don’t do anything about your order (i.e., wait for Walmart to cancel it).
