However, if this happens a lot of times, then Amazon will increase its investigation efforts to better understand why this is happening. As a result, your delivery driver may now be asked to take pictures of each delivered package they leave you.
Delivery drivers may also begin to ask you for your signature on every delivery to also ensure that you get all future packages.
There are a few things you should do if your recently delivered package is missing. According to Amazon, you should first try to get in contact with the mail carrier that delivered your package. They’ll be the best people to tell you where the package is.
Sometimes, mistakes happen logistically and packages say that they have been delivered well before they actually have. Therefore, Amazon recommends waiting about 48 hours after initial delivery to see if your package shows up.
If it doesn’t, or if the mail carrier says it was definitely delivered, then you can get in contact with Amazon Support to let them know the situation. As we mentioned above, Amazon is very customer-oriented — so they’re almost always going to side with the customer.
They’ll be able to tell you what your specific options are once you get in contact with them!
Often, Amazon will be the one to take the blame for missing packages, even if they were not the ones delivering them. They will then ensure that you receive a refund or replacement for any missing package.

You should never lie about a missing package from Amazon to get a refund, especially because your entire Amazon account could be locked if they find this out. It is illegal to lie about a missing package, as this could be considered theft or fraud. You should never do it.
If Amazon believes that too many of your packages are going missing, they will begin to investigate more into what is happening. As a result, your delivery driver may start taking pictures of the delivered packages on your front door to show that they are being dropped off.
Your delivery driver may also now ask for your signature upon each delivery to also ensure that you are receiving your packages.
If missing packages continue and Amazon knows that you are receiving them, then they will likely lock your account or keep you from ordering and shipping to that specific location where all of your packages are going missing.
